Metro tryouts will be held on the following dates for the 10, 11, and 12 year olds.  Each player is required to tryout on 2 of the 3 dates.:

September 11, 2010  2pm-6pm
September 12, 2010  9am-1pm
September 19, 2010 9am-1pm

Chaska Area Youth Baseball is a nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers. Please help us provide the experience that your own children enjoy of playing organized, youth baseball.
 
Serving on the CAYBA board is a great way to meet people in the community and also fulfills your volunteer hours. We meet on the 2^nd Monday of each month at 7 pm at the Chaska Community Center.  If you are not ready to serve on the board, but would like to get involved, we have committees to organize evaluation day, coach selection, Mid Season Jamboree, End of the Season Tournament and other events.  These committees meet 3-5 times during the year.   Next years volunteer hour requirement will be increasing to be in line with many associations in our area.  This is a great way to take care of that commitment.

2010 Chaska Area Youth Baseball Registration
Fall Ball Season
                                                                                           
The 2010 season will run from Sept 12th to October 10th and will consist of double headers each Sunday. The emphasis of Fall Ball is to play for fun. Have a position you want to try, now is the time. Have some buddies you want to play with, do it. Want to try coaching, here is your chance. You may register as a team, a group, or as an individual player. In Fall Ball, players should register in the division they will be in for the 2011 season. Everyone who registers will be placed on a team.  The plans for fall ball are as follows:
 

• 2 games on Sundays (youth = 7-12 going from 12:00-4:00; teens = 13-16 going from 4:00-8:00)
• 7&8 yr olds will be coached by dads
• 9-12 yr olds will have 1 Pitch 2 Pitch instructor and at least 1 dad
• 13-16 yr olds will have 2 Pitch 2 Pitch instructors and no dads (likely to be 13&14 and 15&16)
• Mixed positions so everyone plays and plays together as a team
• 9&10 yr olds emphasis on pitching & catching
• Youth focus is fundamentals and development
• Teen focus is competitive and development

 
Ages 7-12 will play in our own league, similar to the Cal Ripken Summer program.
Ages 13-16 will play in a combined league with Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, and Hopkins (Not Lakeville – Farmington as in previous years).

Players register for the age they will be play during the 2011 season.  The rules will follow the CAYBA Cal Ripken Rules from 2010 season.
